It’s distraction time again,

now that I am ready to image you.  To remember you next to me

during that recent time     we created for each other.

I leaned into you and you let me.

You did not ask how long I would be there

in the crook of your arm        in the hollow of your throat.

You just let me.

And I was there,

leaned into you      for a time.

And the time came and   went.

And so  I  left     your hollow.

Your holding mattered.

My leaning mattered.
